Roof Framing and Sheathing Process
These photos document the roof-construction process in two stages: installing the engineered wood roof trusses and covering the completed framing with structural OSB roof sheathing. The sheathing creates a continuous roof deck that can later receive underlayment and the finished roofing material.
Stage 1: Roof-Truss Framing
Roof Trusses and Initial Sheathing
Engineered wood roof trusses establish the shape, pitch, and supporting framework of the roof. Installation of the structural OSB sheathing has begun along one roof plane while the remaining trusses are still exposed.

Stage 2: Structural Roof Sheathing
After the trusses were positioned, structural OSB panels were installed across the roof framing. This process forms the roof deck and defines the roof planes, hips, and ridgelines.
